Devon Beaver is a Passionate Activewear Designer
I am an experienced apparel designer and fabric specialist with a passion for creating clothing that empowers individuals to feel confident, comfortable, and celebrated. With a strong foundation in fashion design and years of experience across design, product development, and fabric sourcing, I bring a thoughtful, detail-oriented approach to every project I take on. My career has focused on blending creativity with technical expertise, always prioritizing inclusivity and innovation.
Currently, I serve as the Associate, Fabric Sourcing and Development at Revolution Dancewear, where I lead all aspects of fabric and trim development for Revolution Dancewear, Revolution Costumes, and Tenth House. In this role, I work closely with cross-functional teams and global vendors to bring high-quality designs to life, from concept through production. I oversee material development, quality reviews, and sampling, ensuring that every detail meets the highest standards. I also lead key projects, including the implementation of Centric PLM for material library management, streamlining processes across teams.
In addition to my work in fabric development, I am also a Freelance Designer for Revolution Dancewear, specializing in costume design across all genres of dance. From initial sketches inspired by seasonal trends to final production, I craft designs that celebrate the artistry and individuality of dancers. My designs balance beauty, performance, and functionality, helping performers feel confident both on and off the stage.
Over the course of my career at Revolution Dancewear, I have held various roles, including Associate Designer, Product Developer, and Assistant Designer. Each position has allowed me to grow and refine my skills in garment design, technical development, and cross-functional collaboration. From approving lab dips and fabric quality to managing design schedules and creating detailed tech packs, I’ve gained a comprehensive understanding of the entire product lifecycle.
Before joining Revolution Dancewear, I worked as an Assistant Designer at Dick’s Sporting Goods, contributing to brands like Adidas Football, Adidas Baseball, Second Skin, and VRST. This role expanded my expertise into menswear design and performance apparel, allowing me to better understand the unique technical needs of athletes while managing everything from technical sketches to trim approvals.
I hold a BFA in Fashion Design from Pratt Institute, where I cultivated my passion for combining artistry with functionality. My inspiration often stems from architecture, nature, and the diverse range of people who wear my designs. Whether I’m working on costumes for dancers, performance apparel, or everyday wear, my ultimate goal is to create clothing that enhances confidence, celebrates individuality, and brings joy to the wearer’s experience.
